Alro Steel Useses Security Cameras to Resolve Disputes
Alro Steel is a major steel distributor with facilities in the eastern United States. Alro, founded in 1948, has a reputation for an efficiently run distributorship with consistently timely deliveries. Their mission statement is to ensure the long term success of Alro and its people by exceeding their customers’ expectations. Alro only expects the best from their affiliates in business, such as their management staff and vendors.
Due to the high price of commodities, it was in Alro’s best interest to protect and monitor not only the scrap materials, but the receivables and the shipments that are dispatched daily. Most Alro facilities employ three shifts. Productivity is a key element of prompt production in any business.
The need for a surveillance system became obvious once eos presented the benefits of a new visual management aid with eos’ state of the art camera systems. Alro now has the ability to monitor every single vendor delivery and shipment from their loading docks, as well as monitoring the production on all three shifts.
Management has used our system extensively to resolve issues that have occurred at their facilities, enabling them to go back up to ninety days on their recorded footage, which has been an invaluable tool for Alro Steel.
Because of the success of our system in Jackson, Michigan, eos has installed systems at several Alro locations.
